Manchester based Singer/Songwriter Ben Wilde Ward, fuses Folk and Indie, influences such as John Martin and Ani Difranco with Rock, Blues and Jazz influences, Steely Dan, Frank Zappa. In a genre busting mix of styles.

The important thing is that they are songs from the heart. Brutally honest, Ben’s songs explore the contradictions in our relationships and feelings. Often addressing dark subjects, Addiction, Love, Loss, Bereavement, Depression Ben’s songs are always accessible, heartfelt, insightful and often humorous.

A confident stage presence Ben has performed at folk clubs, bars, pubs and festivals from Shetland to Kent.

A variety of guitar styes including percussive finger picking backs up a clear, powerful yet warm voice.    

Ben’s focus on his craft has lead him to explore his songwriting at bootcamps run by the likes of Chris Difford (Squeeze), Boo Hewerdine (The Bible), Reg Meuross, Katie Spencer, Iona Wells and Stu Hanna (Megson).
